Terms of Service

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These terms apply when you create an account, book a lesson or otherwise use the Café Lingo website. By doing so you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

Café Lingo provides one-on-one Spanish lessons taught by Natalia, online (via Google Meet) or in person, and the website used to book and pay for them. Lesson content is tailored to each student, but we do not guarantee a particular level of fluency or test result, which depends on your own practice.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Booking and payment

  • Prices are shown in US dollars and are charged per hour or per package, as displayed when you book.
  • A lesson is confirmed once payment is received. Payments may be made by card (Stripe), PayPal, Venmo or Wise, and third-party fees charged by those providers are outside our control.
  • For payments sent through PayPal, Venmo or Wise, include the reference code shown at checkout so we can match your payment to your booking. Confirmation may take up to 24 hours.

4. Rescheduling, missed lessons and package validity

  • You can reschedule a lesson for free if you let us know at least 48 hours before it starts.
  • Lessons missed, or cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, cannot be rescheduled unless you provide a medical certificate justifying your absence.
  • If Natalia needs to cancel, we will offer you a new time or a refund for that lesson.
  • A package must be used within 1 month of purchase. Hours not used within that period expire.

5. Refunds

  • Refund requests must be submitted at least 14 days before your package expires, by emailing npuentesrol@gmail.com.
  • Approved refunds take up to 14 days to be processed.
  • Only unused hours are refunded, in proportion to the price paid for the package.
  • From that amount we deduct currency conversion fees and any other costs generated by the transactions, plus a 10% administrative charge.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site, attempt to access other users' data, interfere with its operation, or use lessons or lesson materials in an abusive, harassing or unlawful way. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Lesson materials and intellectual property

Lesson materials, the Café Lingo name, logo and website content belong to Café Lingo and are provided for your personal learning. Please do not copy, resell or distribute them without permission. Lessons may not be recorded without the teacher's consent.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and lessons are provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, Café Lingo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for interruptions caused by events outside our control such as internet or third-party service outages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the lesson or package concerned.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of Colombia.

10. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms
